My background in the Film Industry so far.

ASA Productions

At 15 I managed to get work experience with a film company and i was to edit a film over one week. I completed the whole 1 hour 30 min+ film with time to spare. I got along very well with the owner Stephan Saunders and his editor Euan.

At the start of 2017 I asked if I could work for ASA Productions every Tuesday (my day off in sixth form) for completely free and Stephan Saunders said yes. Since then I have been working with him personally and doing work for their new film which is being released soon. During this time working with him I got to spend some time with a special effects specialist and I got to work with him and ask questions about my own projects. He was very nice and I learned a lot about the program "Adobe After Effects". I already had a good understanding about After Effects (Key framing, chroma keying etc), however I learned how to mask areas of film and remove people (e.g on this scene when the plane was taking off we removed the camera men on the ground in the field below. This was really helpful to get some hands on experience with someone helping me with a program I wasn't too confident with.

Within one month of working with Stephan he offered to bring me with him when shooting this documentary for Stoke, I happily agreed. He took me along with two nice uni students to film about children's career paths over two full days. The actual thing we were filming may be considered 'boring' however I was intrigued to see how everything worked. It was a very helpful being able to get experience with filming an actual documentary, not many people can say that they have don't that when they are only 16, I'm very lucky I came across this wonderful company and owner.
